Thomas W. Jasper

Over the course of his career, Thomas W. Jasper has played a leading role in the growth and development of key areas of the financial and derivatives markets. He is currently the Managing Partner of Manursing Partners, LLC a consulting firm. Additionally, Mr. Jasper serves on a number of boards where he actively supports various management teams in building and managing their businesses. Most recently, he was Chief Executive Officer (2001-2010) and a director (2002-2010) of Primus Guaranty, Ltd., (NYSE:PRS) a company he was a key partner in founding in 1999. Mr. Jasper led Primus for over a decade. Under his leadership, Primus established the first credit derivatives product company, an innovative business model for selling credit swaps to global financial institutions and it developed a significant credit asset management business. Mr. Jasper led the Company’s capital-raising initiatives, which totaled over $800 million in equity and debt, including its 2004 initial public offering and NYSE listing. At its peak, Primus managed a $24 billion credit swap portfolio and $3.7 billion in structured credit assets. Prior to joining Primus, Mr. Jasper served for 17 years as a key executive of Salomon Brothers, Inc and its successor companies. Mr. Jasper’s accomplishments at Salomon where he was a Managing Director included: establishing and building its global Interest Rate Swap business, running its Debt Capital Markets platform, leading its expansion into Asia as Chief Operating Officer based in Hong Kong and serving as Global Treasurer. In 1984 while at Salomon, Mr. Jasper co-founded the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (“ISDA”) and served as its first Co-Chairman. Mr. Jasper was recognized for his profound contributions to the field of risk management through his inclusion in the 2003 RISK Hall of Fame. Mr. Jasper currently is on the boards of the Blackstone GSO Senior Floating Rate Term Fund (NYSE – BSL), Blackstone/GSO Long-Short Credit Income Fund (NYSE- BGX), Blackstone GSO Strategic Credit Fund (NYSE—BGB), Blackstone GSO Floating Rate Enhanced Income Fund (BGFLX) and Blackstone Real Estate Income Fund (BREIF). On all five funds, Mr. Jasper Chairs the Audit Committee. In early 2016, Mr. Jasper joined the board of Ciner Resources LP (NYSE:CINR) a master limited partnership in the business of mining, refining and global distribution of soda ash. He Chairs the Audit Committee at Ciner. Mr. Jasper also serves on the boards of two non-profits: Phoenix House Foundation and Wellspring Foundation. At Phoenix House he is Chairman of the Board. Mr. Jasper serves on the Advisory Board of P.R.I.M.E. Finance and is a PRIME Market Expert. Based in The Hague PRIME is associated with the Permanent Court of Arbitration and was established to provide an independent and expert facility for the resolution of complex financial disputes generally involving derivatives. He received his BBA from Southern Methodist University and his MBA from the University of Texas.
